Strawberry Shortcake Recipe
What is a strawberry shortcake?
Strawberry
shortcake is a classic dessert made from shortbread or shortbread with freshly
sliced strawberries and whipped cream. Cookies or cakes are usually made from
flour, sugar, sugar and baking powder and are usually lightly sweetened.
Strawberries are usually sliced and mixed with a little sugar to extract the
juice, then poured over the cookie base. A generous amount of whipped cream is
then added to the dessert, creating a creamy and light contrast with the sweet
and slightly tangy strawberries. Strawberry Shortcake is the perfect
dessert for spring and summer when fresh
strawberries are in season.
